This EDS has two sterilization tanks and no holding tank. While one tank is sterilizing effluent, the other acts as a holding tank. These roles then reverse after the active sterilization tank empties.

This EDS has two sterilization tanks and no holding tank. While one tank is sterilizing effluent, the other acts as a holding tank. These roles then reverse after the active sterilization tank empties. Because of this method of processing, this type of EDS is sometimes known as a Run / Standby effluent decontamination system.

This setup requires minimal space, as it does not require a holding tank. It also maximizes processing speed by removing the need to pump effluent from the holding tank into the sterilization tank.
The version photographed is comprises of a 48kW steam generator and two 200 litre sterilization tanks, however AstellBio will provide tank and steam generators sized to your specific requirements.
